So many are holding their collective breaths, Almighty God, as powerful wind and drenching waters come ashore with the name Florence. We lift up and hold close those whose homes, livelihoods, schools and very lives are at risk. We commit to supporting them with prayer and tangible signs of your presence as the recovery efforts will unfold. We are mindful that there are still others who continue all these months and years later to resume the life that was altered from previous storms.
