Almighty God, you created us in your own image and that image means we are born with two ears and one mouth. We are to listen more and talk less. When we find ourselves in the midst of the discord and the desire to be right at all costs, may we lean into the tools you have given us. Let us listen not to respond but to truly hear and understand. Grant us the wisdom to use the gift of language for the building up of others. May we be instruments of your peace always and in all ways. Amen.
