Now is the season of abundance in our part of the world, Loving God. Gardens are filled with plump, juicy tomatoes and beans aplenty and enough zucchini to share with a whole neighborhood. The night sky is awash in stars and the chorus of crickets are coming at us in stereo from all directions. The days are filled with that mixture of bright sunshine and cleansing rain. And then there is your love, Holy One – showered quietly and with abandon on all creation. Be with us as we move through the world with a spirit of abundance rather than scarcity. Make us generous in spreading kindness to all those who are feeling lost or alone or struggling with pain or grief. Such kindness is ours to share, in praise and thanksgiving. Amen.
