As COVID numbers of deaths and those sickened climb and tensions rise on the approach to Inauguration Day, it is easy to slip into despair. And yet, there are still always glimmers of hope and love, sometimes lurking on the edges of our days. They can come in a kindness offered by a neighbor or generosity given by a stranger or moral support when we need it most. Always there is the knowledge that you are with us, Most Holy One. To breathe in your grace and breathe out your mercy is to find a way out of no way. Leaning into you, may we know that tomorrow is a new day when this one has put us through the wringer. In praise and thanksgiving, let us live into you, God of us all. Amen.
