Our sisters and brothers in Haiti are once again devastated and struggling.
Our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan are desperate and terrified.
Around the globe and even here in our small town, COVID continues to upend and, sadly, take lives.
We lift up in prayer these beloved ones we know of and so many others.
Empower us to respond in ways that build up – building up safety, security, healing, wholeness.
May we not give into feelings of hopelessness, God of us all.
Your grace and mercy are ever-present. May we lean into that knowledge and into your light that
will be our strength as we respond in lovingkindness this day and forevermore. Amen.
