This is the peace week in Advent and oh, if only it were only so. So much of the world seems to be at each other’s throats. Maybe the peace of Advent is what we’re striving for, reminded us that it takes work and just doesn’t naturally happen given our desire much of the time as human beings to be right. For this week, God, may our intentions to be peacemakers call us to do something in the name of peace. Maybe we might start in envisioning what peace would look like not just for me but for others. O God, make me a partner of yours for peace – this week and every week. Amen.
