As Christmas continues, accompanying us into a New Year, we have hopes that keep us looking ahead while also taking stock of the wisdom and experience gained in this past year. O God, so many of us thought that life, by this time, would have returned to the familiar routines and interactions that we took for granted pre-COVID. Through the disappointment there is still hope. At the darkest point there were glimmers of light. In our adapting and pivoting and changing, we have come to treasure the knowledge that you are there always, our rock and our salvation. Walk with us into 2022, re-enforcing our compassion, commitment to care, and the desire to always err on the side of love. May we grow in you and you in us, Most Holy One. Amen.
