We’ve just passed the midpoint of January and already some of those resolutions that were so important on the cusp of the new year have faded off our radar. God of Creation, instead of bemoaning our lack of commitment or dedication, shift our focus to what we can do with each new day. We can love fiercely. We can speak up in the face of injustice. We can commit our time, talent and treasure to the people most in need that we encounter on our path. There’s no right or wrong in starting again. Only the knowledge that you will be with us this day and all of our days. It is that knowledge of your abiding love that keeps us keeping on. We offer this prayer in your most holy name. Amen.
