This is the week when our thoughts turn to peace, Holy One. But what kind of peace? Peace between nations, peace between people, peace within ourselves? Yes, yes, and yes. We look to you, who loves and cares for every living being as our model. Such a love creates peace, and yet we also know how hard it is to live a life of peace. Be with us as we try again and again to live into the life of peacemaker and peacekeeper. In your gracious name, we pray. Amen.
