Midweek Prayer

Glimpses of beauty – light shimmering on snow, a bird resting gently on a branch, a baby’s smile, the setting sun reflected on a stream – offer a respite from some of the harder to bear parts of your created world, Almighty One.  May we be seekers of loveliness, dwellers in joyful reflection, workers laboring at peace, a people who chooses to love in the face of struggle. Let our wonder at the mystery that is your being, God, spread to awe at all that fills our lives.  In your holy name, we pray.  Amen.
