In the midst of concern over the spread of COVID-19 we have been encouraged to consider embracing the concept of social distancing, God of us all. In our effort to keep as many of your beloved children healthy as possible we are being urged to reconsider how engaged we are with each other. In this time of fear let us lean into you and all that you are. May the distance we’ve sometimes allowed to widen through our busyness be narrowed and our prayer life strengthened. Let us not grow negligent in our love for neighbor but instead as we dive deeper into your love and grace and mercy may we come back with a greater capacity for compassion and kindness.
