So much that is familiar is out of reach or closed and it is tempting to draw inward and build a moat to protect our hearts when we hear news of illness and death and lives interrupted. God of Wonder, may we instead be strengthened for these days by the knowledge of your boundless love, unending mercy and life-changing grace. We then ask that you enlarge our hearts and help us turn outward with kindness and generosity for others. May we be a blessing to your creation. Amen.
