Midweek Prayer

Midweek Prayer: Every so often, in the midst of a downpour, the sun will begin to shine and before you know it, there’s a rainbow. Creator God, sometimes we get so enmeshed in the trials and tribulations of life, one hard day after another, and then suddenly, there is a glimmer of light. Rainbows have appeared throughout history, have been sung and written about and used as symbols of life abundant. Through it all they represent hope. Let us hold onto that hope when the going gets tough, Holy One. Let us hang our deepest yearnings and vivid dreams on the arc of love you offer. It is in your merciful name, we pray. Amen.
