Here we are in the middle – the middle of a pandemic, the middle of winter, the middle of the first week of a new month, Loving God. The status of being in the middle means we find ourselves surrounded by a range of emotions and news and commentary and circumstances that feel out of our control. It can also mean that we are surrounded by caring souls, communities that are tending to those in need, and random acts of kindness. When those we care about are feeling isolated and alone, especially during this pandemic winter, may we offer to be the one who will listen and support and let them know that they matter. We lean into you, Gracious One, to know and feel your abiding love – this day and all of our days. Then may we be the bearers of such love. Amen.
