Most Holy One, hunger is a universal condition.
Some hunger for the food needed to sustain their bodies.
Others hunger for justice in the face of oppression.
Then some hunger for safety or security.
There are those who hunger for an acknowledgement of their humanity
while others hunger for companionship.
Amid so many forms of hunger,
may your grace and mercy be ours to share
and may we be filled with love enough
to offer in your sacred name.
Amen.
