A new normal…that’s what we are supposedly experiencing right now, Holy One. For all the yearning to have things be the way they were, we know that the “old normal” was not so great for lots of folks. In light of all the world has gone through over these past 18 months, may wisdom and compassion be our guides. Help us, Almighty God, to continue to carry the value of the precious lives of all your children with us in the midst of decisions about what the new normal will look like. Perhaps we might not want to attach our peace of mind to a single way of being but instead recognize the beauty that comes from adapting and making room for new ideas and experiences. We lift our evolving lives up to your ever-present love and mercy. Amen.
