Creator God, you made us with two ears and one mouth. May we remember to listen to understand not just to speak. Let us lean into those who need us to not just hear what they are saying but to understand the meaning behind their words. You have listened to us since our first cry as a newborn. Grant us your patience and grace that we might, too, be bearers of your mercy and peace. We raise this prayer in your holiest of names. Amen.
