Midweek Prayer

Most Holy One, who needs our welcome today? So many of your children feel alienated – distant from family, friends, community, you. Rather than thinking of hospitality as an act of grace once someone comes into our home or church, let us think of hospitality as a way of being in the world. Welcoming the other, making room for the lost, encouraging the downtrodden. You graciously offer us your very being with each breath we take. O God, make us a welcoming people. Amen
