Midweek Prayer

When we find our head filled with anger or disgust or disappointment or resigned indifference at the day’s news, no matter how near or far, be with us, Holy One, as we look for the heart of the stories. May we ask questions that steer us toward the impact on the lives and well-being of the people, creatures, and places affected. It may be that we can take action, however small, to share your love in response. And then there is this – prayer – the surefire way in which we tap into the interconnectedness that is between you, Almighty God, and all of creation. Amen.
